TAKATUF SIGNS A SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH MITSUI

February 26, 2021Muscat, February 8th 2015 – The Takatuf Scholars Programme, a unit within Takatuf Oman, conducted last week the winter workshop, for one hundred and thirty one (131) students from throughout the Sultanate. Upon completion of this workshop that took place at Hormuz Grand Muscat Hotel, these students will have earned recognition as Takatuf Scholars and moved forward in the competition for sponsored international scholarships.
At this point, Takatuf Scholars have completed a rigorous programme of intellectual and personal development. They have been acquiring new skills and abilities that will prepare them for success as students and employees in the 21st century. As Takatuf Scholars, they will continue to learn from one another as they build their leadership skills for the future.
Commenting on the event, Eng. Isam bin Saud Al-Zadjali, the Chairman of Takatuf Oman said “Our focus in Takatuf is building the capacity of Human Capital. Not only do we consider the working population, but also the future generations who will join the Sultanate’s workforce in coming years. That is why we created the Takatuf Scholars Programme, so that when the time comes our clients will be able to make the right choice for a particular job position from a talented pool of Omani candidates”.

Since 2012 over 2,000 Omani students have applied and been tested for admission; 267 have attended a Summer Residential Programme and engaged in an independent learning programme concurrent with attending high school here in Oman; and 34 have been awarded international scholarships to attend preparatory school and universities abroad.
The Takatuf Scholars Programme started as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative which has proven, in its first three years of operation, that the rigorous enrichment programme has given its graduates key skills for success. Recognizing that these young people will return to Oman to provide leadership in many sectors, the initiative has grown to represent an investment in the future that goes beyond CSR.
